Transit

The G Line ends at Wheat Ridge·Ward station on the north side of the city, near I-70, with service to Union Station. It is a drive from the 38th Avenue area. RTD buses run on the main roads.

What it's like

A quieter, established inner-ring suburb between Denver and Golden. Many streets have older ranch homes on bigger lots than you will find in the city. It is close to everything without feeling busy.

What homes cost

Median sale price over the three months ending September 2026, as shown on Redfin in November 2026. Medians move every month and swing a lot where there are few sales.

Good fit if

People who want more space and a quieter street, a 10 to 15 minute drive to Golden, and prices below the Highlands.

Maybe not if

People who want to walk to coffee and dinner every day.
