Is it walkable?

One of the more walkable parts of Denver, especially if you live within a few blocks of 32nd Avenue or in LoHi near the bridges to downtown.

What's walkable: Lower Highland (LoHi) near the pedestrian bridges, West 32nd Avenue including Highland Square, and the Highland Bridge over I-25 to downtown.

Approximate, at normal (non-rush) traffic. Rush hour, weekend mountain traffic and snow can add a lot.

Transit

No rail inside the neighborhood. RTD buses run on the main avenues, and from LoHi you can walk or bike to Union Station and downtown over the Highland Bridge.

What it's like

Northwest Denver right across I-25 from downtown. LoHi is the busiest part, with newer townhomes and condos close to the bridges. Farther west toward Highland Square you find older brick homes and bungalows on calmer streets.

What homes cost

Median sale price over the three months ending September 2026, as shown on Redfin in November 2026. Medians move every month and swing a lot where there are few sales.

Good fit if

People who want a walkable, local city-neighborhood feel, a short trip to downtown, and an easy drive west to Golden and the mountains.

Maybe not if

People who want a quiet, spread-out suburb, or a big yard for the money.
